This course takes place over two weekends, meeting at Dive HQ at 8:45am on the first weekend and finishing at approximately 5pm. The second weekend involves the open water dives, which are conducted on the Saturday and Sunday with 2 dives completed each day. These dives will take place in Kaikoura.

 WHAT’S REQUIRED

·         Medical form completed - Self check filled out and/or signed by doctor (if required)

·         Read and sign Dive Training Terms and conditions Booking form.

·         Course paid in full at time of booking.

·         Mask, snorkel, fins & booties - these can be hired for an additional $100.

·         Own gloves and safety sausage - these are available for purchase from Dive HQ

·         Pass the 200m swim test & 10-minute tread water.

·         Have completed knowledge reviews 1-5 by the start of the course.

·         Bedding/Sleeping Bag (Please confirm with your instructor before you leave)

·         Warm Clothes – Jacket for between dives, suncream and hat.

·         Lunch for pool sessions, food and/or money to buy food in Kaikoura.

Extras: Get accredited with the NZQA level three-unit standard #4384 (worth 7 credits) for only $50! – NOTE: If wanting credits, a full medical signed by a doctor is required.
